Payment system LG Pay should have been launched in South Korea in September last year, along with a smartphone V20, but due to certain technical problems, the launch was postponed indefinitely.

In March 2017, a rumor that LG Pay will be available to US smartphone owners LG G6 in June this year. The basis of LG Pay will be the technology of MCT (Magnetic Communication Technology) company Dynamics.

Now, the publication The Investor confirmed that LG Pay will really launch in June, but initially the system will be available only to residents and guests of South Korea. The manufacturer confirmed that the payment system will be tied to the credit cards of eight major Korean banks.

LG Pay support will be added to the LG G6 using a regular firmware upgrade.
