After prolonged persuasion Parabia people's deputies still managed to collect enough votes to send the bill to a second reading - 236 people's deputies voted for the corresponding decision.
When considering amendments to the draft law, the deputies excluded from the document those who aroused fears of Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Maxim Nefyodov.

According to the bill, the coordination of activities in the field of cybersecurity as a component of Ukraine's national security should be carried out by the President of Ukraine through the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC).
The National Coordinating Center for Cybersecurity as the working body of the National Security and Defense Council will coordinate and monitor the activities of the security and defense sector actors and make proposals to the head of state on the formation and refinement of the cybersecurity strategy.
Providing the formation of a state policy in the field of cyber security and combating cybercrime will be the Cabinet of Ministers.
The bill defines such concepts as cybersecurity, cyber attack, cyberterrorism, cyber defense, cyber defense, critical infrastructure, cyber intelligence.
The document also provides a list of enterprises, institutions and organizations that can be classified as critical infrastructure.
