In the second quarter of 2017, Chinese smartphone manufacturers will jointly supply about 151.8 million units worldwide, analysts predict Digitimes Research. According to their estimates, shipments of vendors from China will grow by 13% on a quarterly basis, but in annual terms they will decrease by 2.7%. As a result, the total share of brands from China in the global communicator market in April-June will be 46.7%.
Out of this volume, 65.7 million smartphones of Chinese manufacturers will go to foreign markets. Relative to the previous quarter, imports of devices from China will increase by 18.8%, but in comparison with April-June 2016, the indicator will be 1.8% lower.
The leader among Chinese smartphone brands will be Huawei, which will account for 21.1% of the total supply of communicators from China. Second place will take Oppo with a result of 16.5%, and the third - Vivo (12.1%). In addition, the top 10 will include manufacturers such as Xiaomi (9.7%), Lenovo (7.6%), Gionee (4.9%), TCL (4.6%), ZTE (4.6% ), Meizu (3%) and Coolpad (1.4%).
In terms of imports of smart phones among Chinese companies will also be in the lead Huawei. It is expected that in this quarter it will supply abroad 16.2 million smartphones. Along with Huawei, the largest importer of communicators will be Lenovo (9.9 million devices, including Motorola models), TCL (5.4 million), Oppo (5.4 million) and Xiaomi (4.9 million).
Earlier, Taiwan's analytical company Trendforce reported that in the first quarter of 2017, Chinese smartphone manufacturers released a total of 141.7 million devices, which is almost 26% less than in the final quarter of 2016.
Represented by experts, five leading Chinese brands almost completely coincide with the list of Digitimes Research. In the ranking of Trendforce, Huawei (24.7%), Oppo (17.6%), Vivo (13.4%) and Xiaomi (8.1%) are also in the ranking of Trendforce from the first to the fourth place, but ZTE holds the fifth position with a share of 7 ,8%.
