Under the brand Crucial, Micron announced the delivery of server memory modules LRDIMM DDR4 with a capacity of 128 GB. In volume, they are the largest in the range of Crucial.
According to the manufacturer, the new modules are assembled from carefully tested 16 Gigabit memory components and tested for compatibility with modern servers, which makes it possible to use them in mission-critical systems. Separately noted that the modules are "optimized for future Intel Xeon processors".
The line will be opened by modules operating at an effective frequency of 2666 MHz. Their deliveries the manufacturer promises to start in the third quarter.
