It is expected that Apple will present iOS 11 at the WWDC 2017 conference in San Jose. After some time, the test versions of the new software platform will be available for developers, and then for ordinary users. Autumn will be the official release of the operating system. On the eve of the official OS presentation, it's time to figure out which devices will be able to upgrade to iOS 11.

It is highly likely that Apple will not offer updates to the owners of two obsolete devices - the iPhone 5 and the fourth generation iPad. The first debuted in September 2012 and was withdrawn from production in a year. The second device was also introduced in 2012, but was on sale until October 2014.

IPhone 5c and iPhone 5s can also stay without iOS 11, as does the iPad mini 2 with the iPad mini 3.

Although the probability that the update will not be available on these devices is lower than in the case of the first two devices.

Other obsolete gadgets with iOS 10, in particular iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air and iPad Air 2, will be able to get an update to iOS 11, along with the current models.

The World Conference for Developers WWDC 2017 will be held on the evening of June 5. In addition to iOS 11 at the event, Apple will present new versions of the operating systems macOS, watchOS and tvOS.
