Google plans to present a new virtual reality helmet at the Google I / O 2017 developer conference, which will be held in Mountain View (CA) from May 17 to 19. This was told by the resource Variety with reference to the "multitude" of informed sources.

Unlike last year's Daydream View, the new helmet should be an independent device. In other words, to work and display VR-content it does not need to connect to a smartphone or PC.

According to a source, Google has been working on this helmet for more than a year. It will use a tracking system without the need to install external devices. There is a possibility that only a limited early show will take place at the conference. So it or not, we'll find out pretty soon.
