Experts on cybersecurity have found technical evidence of a possible connection between North Korea and global cyberattack using the computer virus WannaCry. Kaspersky Lab and the US company Symantec reported that one of the codes used in the earlier version of the WannaCry virus appeared in computer programs written by Lazarus Group.

This hacker group of researchers of many companies consider the North Korean team of hackers.

At the same time, representatives of both companies state that it is too early to say whether the DPRK participated in an unprecedented hacker attack.

They will continue to study the code and invite other experts to help with its analysis.

Hackers Lazarus, allegedly working by order of Pyongyang, according to a number of companies in the field of cybersecurity, last year stole 81 million dollars from the Central Bank of Bangladesh. In 2014, they committed the hacking of computer systems of the film company Sony Pictures.

Note, the victims of cyberattacks WannaCry paid a total of less than 70,000 dollars in redemption.
