The Delaware jury (USA) dismissed the lawsuit filed by AVM Technologies, which accused Intel Corporation of illegally using proprietary technologies.

It is a question of the patent № 5,859,547 on "Dynamic logic circuits" (Dynamic logic circuit). This document was issued by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) back in 1999.

One of the authors of the document, Joseph Tran (Joseph Tran), is president of AVM Technologies. His former firm, Translogic, licensed a number of Intel technologies, but the developments described in patent 5,859,547 did not include them.

In 2010, AVM Technologies accused Intel of illegally using protected developments in Pentium 4 and Core 2 processors. But the claim was rejected due to insufficient evidence.

In January 2015, AVM Technologies again appealed to the court, saying that Intel illegally uses patented technologies in generations of chips Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge and Haswell. In case of victory, the plaintiffs could expect to receive compensation of up to $ 2 billion.

And now the jury again dismissed the claim of AVM Technologies with the former wording - insufficient evidence. By the way, Mr. Tran himself claims that he simply could not conduct a very expensive procedure for analyzing Intel's violations requested by the defendants.
