Independent developer Abe Fettig launched a campaign to raise funds for the development of an iOS-application, allowing in a few seconds to digitize negatives using a smartphone. The programmer found a way to simplify the time-consuming process to just a couple of clicks on the iPhone screen.

The user only needs to place the film on the illuminated surface and bring the gadget camera to it. FilmLab will automatically analyze the contents of the frame and turn the film negatives into digital positives. The process of digitization takes a few seconds.

The final result, of course, will depend on the iPhone camera.

In addition, the user will still receive an image not of such good quality as with full-fledged scanning of the film.

The application will support the following devices:.

-iPhone 6s -iPhone 6s Plus -iPhone 7 -iPhone 7 Plus -iPhone SE -9.7 "iPad Pro Digitization is still one of the most time-consuming tasks when it comes to film photography, and the simplicity with which this development solves Problem, suggests that the application has every chance to change the rules of the game on the market.
