The press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade reported that thanks to ProZorro's electronic procurement system, it was possible to save over 16 billion hryvnias.

According to the data released by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, in general, according to the already completed trading, it was calculated that by means of ProZorro it was possible to save more than 16.7 billion hryvnia.

The press service of the ministry notes that today in the electronic procurement system registered 581 thousand trades. Their participants are almost 100 thousand enterprises.

"The amount of savings in the case of ProZorro is the difference between the expected cost of procurement and the actual amount of funds already transferred from the budget to the accounts of suppliers of goods or services," the ministry said..

According to the first deputy minister of economic development and trade of Ukraine Maxim Nefedov, ProZorro is a powerful tool for fighting corruption in public procurement. He notes that the economic effect of electronic trading is already palpable.

Mr. Nefedov says that one of the most important factors in favor of this system is publicity. That is, all Ukrainians have access to statistics and procurement results. This provides an opportunity for citizens to monitor and control spending of budget money.
