Sources of the publication Korea Economic Daily confirmed rumors that the iPhone 8 get a 3D camera for face recognition.

It is claimed that the development deals with LG Innotek, which makes dual cameras for the iPhone 7 Plus. The amount of investment was 269.7 billion won ($ 238.5 million). Originally planned to spend only 200 billion won.

Earlier, KGI Securities analyst Min-Chi Kuo also confirmed information about 3D camera modules based on the supply chain. He suggested that the infrared module would recognize a three-dimensional space in front of him. This is supposedly necessary for a clear face recognition.

Judging by the latest rumors, the start of sales of the "eight" may be delayed until October-November 2017. It remains to wait.
