Updating YouTube brought support for a floating window with the player, so users can search for new content while browsing. Nevertheless, Google does not stop experimenting, and on some smartphones there is a navigation bar with control buttons at the bottom of the screen. Enthusiasts disassembled the APK file of the latest version of YouTube and found that developers will be able to more fine-tune the interface.

In the next versions, the floating window with the player can be disabled or left only for Wi-Fi connection. This function is located in the main settings section. Meanwhile, it is not yet clear whether the collapsed video will be paused if you turn off the floating window.

Probably, Google will add a new option to reduce the consumption of traffic or to save the resources of weak devices. We still have to wait for the update to test the function independently.
