Police warn of new cases of Internet fraud

In the Kalanchak district, a 48-year-old woman from one of the villages turned to the police, who became a victim of Internet scammers. PIK was told about this in the police communication department of the Kherson region.

A woman on one of the Internet sites has found an advertisement for the sale of slabs. She signed with the seller and agreed to purchase. The seller set the condition of prepayment for transportation services. The woman transferred to the bank card of the attacker 7, 5 thousand hryvnia. As a result, plates were not brought to her and the seller ceased to communicate.

Open criminal proceedings on h. 1 st. 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Fraud".

The police found that in the last two weeks similar cases of fraud occurred in other areas of the region.

Police of the region urges citizens to be more careful and circumspect when shopping online. Do not trust very low prices, in no case do not make a prepayment.

When buying goods through the Internet, you should be alerted by the absence of the phone and the address of the seller who offers to maintain contact only by electronic means of communication; Lack of product photos and grammatical errors in the ad itself; Too low price of goods.
