Apple has a new growth engine in China

According to the source, Apple in China has a new growth engine: animated dragons and warring kingdoms. It's about mobile games, whose sales growth partly compensates for the drop in demand for smartphones iPhone.

The most popular in the Chinese version of the App Store are games King of Glory, Fantasy Westward Journey and Nest of Dragons. Total games account for 75% of the proceeds of the Chinese version of the AppStore. Note that last year, China provided about half of the growth in sales in the App Store.

In turn, sales of smartphones iPhone in this country continue to decline for five consecutive quarters.

In the last quarter, the reduction in monetary terms was 14.1%. The market share owned by Apple is being reduced under the pressure of local manufacturers, including Oppo, Vivo and Huawei. Now it is about 10%.

It remains to add that in general, the Chinese market brought Apple in the past quarter 10.726 billion dollars. This is 34% less than the previous quarter, equal to 16.233 billion dollars, and 14% less than a year ago, equal to 12.486 billion dollars.
