The founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, sold the shares of the company for a billion dollars a month after he announced that he plans to spend about this amount for the development of the space program, according to Bloomberg.
From 2 to 4 May, Bezos sold a million shares of Amazon cost from 935 to 950 dollars for each. He still owns 79.9 million (17%) of the company's shares. In 2015, the share of Bezos was 83 million shares.
Previously, Bezos announced his intention to diversify his assets. The agency expects that the sale of part of Amazon shares is part of the implementation of this plan.
Earlier, the US Federal Aviation Agency granted Amazon permission to use unmanned devices to deliver goods to customers.
