ArsTechnica reported more frequent attacks on Google accounts. Attackers send potential victims of an invitation with links to documents in the Google Docs service. Once a user is authorized on a fake site, hackers gain access to his account, files in the cloud storage, as well as a list of contacts. Attackers sent out new messages to a familiar user on his behalf.

A few signs of a phishing scam:.

- The recipient's address is specified in the "hidden copy" field, and the sender is the one with whom the user communicated earlier.

- Emails are sent through the mailinator service. Com or the like.

- Links to files do not belong to Google Docs, but to third-party domains.

Google is aware of using Google Doc as a bait. Hacker accounts are disabled, and fake authorization pages are blocked. Now Google is working to prevent such attacks in the future. To believe that your account was compromised, you can on the site g. Co / SecurityCheckup.
