Microsoft is able to introduce users into a state of bewilderment, experimenting with operating systems and making them dissimilar to each other. In addition, in Windows 10 S you can not replace the default browser: Microsoft Edge will forever remain default, although you can download an alternative program for use.
A similar situation with the search service: users will be forced to work with Bing, which can not be replaced by Google search (like any other non-Microsoft). The reasons for this decision are not explained, writes The Verge.
This decision already looks controversial, so it will be interesting to see how, under the pressure of users, the corporation will change its policy towards Windows 10 S.
As for the new operating system as such, for an ordinary user it currently looks at least unusual: it can install "all the same" software, but only from the Microsoft application store, and only if the developers have packed it in the right way. Its main (official) advantages are low price, and laptops under its control will be able to work much longer.
