The next-generation operating system iOS 10 will be announced in early summer as part of the WWDC 2017 event and will remain in beta status for three months. Its final release will take place in September, as it traditionally happens with every major software update of Apple.

On the eve of the official announcement, we suggest to get acquainted with the OS closer in absentia. Publicly about the new version is not known, but the sources on the Web have already found out some features of the upcoming platform. As the user of Cyanhat said with reference to the anonymous employee of Apple who wished to remain anonymous, iOS 11 will delight users with a number of new functions.

"FaceTime group video calls with support for up to 5 users.

Apple Pay Payments Between Users. Apple completely redesign the application Wallet (rename it to Pay) and add social functions. A tape of events will appear in the application, as in Venmo. The new Pay application will receive the iMessage extension, which will allow sending money via the messenger.

FaceTime Audio calls will become standard for iPhone users. That is, if you call the owner of the iPhone, then the call will be automatically carried out through FaceTime, and not through the cellular network, which will ensure better voice transmission. If you call other phones, traditional call technology over cellular networks.

Smart auto power save mode. The iPhone will learn the user's habits, in particular how it uses the battery-saving function and adapt accordingly. The function will work based on geolocation and context. For example, if you go beyond the limits of the home Wi-Fi network and you have 20% and less charge, the power-saving mode will turn on automatically ».

Apple in iOS 11 will pay special attention to the autonomy of mobile devices. For the first time, the power-saving mode appeared in iOS 9: the developers took care of the battery charge of gadgets by disabling the most "expensive" processes, such as visual effects and background updates. If now it turns on the iPhone and iPad manually, then in iOS 11 the technology will work in automatic mode.

Another important innovation in iOS 11 concerns audio calls.

If the iPhone owner calls the iPhone user, the call will automatically go through FaceTime. This option will clearly displease the mobile operators, as it will deprive the per-minute tariff for the audience of Apple smartphone owners.

Announcement iOS 11 will be held on June 5 at the conference WWDC 2017, and the public version of the platform will debut in autumn. After that, throughout the year, we are waiting for updates in which Apple will remove barely noticeable bugs and, perhaps, add new features.
