The other day, the well-known video blogger Zack Nielson from YouTube channel JerryRigEverything posted a video where he made a Galaxy S8 smartphone with a transparent back cover. The resulting device he really liked, so he decided to do the same with the LG G6. Both smartphones have much in common in terms of design, since both front and back are covered with glass. In addition, they have a tall display, and the frame is made of aluminum. In the case of LG G6, the rear window is not painted, as in the Galaxy S8, but simply has a pasted film, so making the cover transparent was much easier. The truth on this Zack did not stop.
Under the back cover of the LG G6 (in the US version) is an induction coil for wireless charging. They are placed in a plastic insert that covers most of the components inside the smartphone. Videobloger decided to get rid of wireless charging, so that the device looked more interesting. As a result, he turned out LG G6 in retro style, where you can consider all the components inside.
As in the case of the Galaxy S8, disassembly and any modification of the LG G6 entails a loss of warranty and protection against water.
