The cybercrime group Decepticons, allegedly of Brazilian origin, declared war on the producers of spyware of the consumer class. Hackers hacked the company FlexiSpy, specializing in the sale of tools for wiretapping and tracking mobile devices. Anyone can buy a spyware program from anyone, from jealous husbands to suspicious bosses.

According to cybercriminals, it was not difficult to hack FlexiSpy. Attackers abducted the manufacturer's documents, as well as the source code, which was subsequently published on the Web. As explained by hackers, they know how to hack and can use their skills to reveal other people's secrets. Nevertheless, they adhere to clear principles. "If you sell software for spying on spouses, we go to you. Stop, revise your life, close the company and become better, "- said Decepticons.

Hackers managed to crack FlexiSpy servers due to weak password protection. First, attackers unsuccessfully attempted to implement SQL injection on the company's website. However, then it occurred to them to try the password test and the user name test.

Surprisingly, this helped hackers enter the developer account.

According to Cyber ??Merchants of Death, the analysis of the leaked code, after hitting the victim's device, the spyware FlexiSpy can silently record incoming and outgoing calls, provide the jealous husband access to text messages, track the location and record interaction with applications like WhatsApp and Tinder. The manufacturer offers tools for platforms such as Android, iOS, Windows and Mac.
