The number of pre-orders for the smartphone Samsung Galaxy S8 turned out to be the best in the history of the line, the South Korean company. As a result, Samsung is experiencing problems with meeting the demand for its new phones.

Pre-orders opened on April 7. However, in view of the fact that the number of applications reached a record level of 1.04 million, it was found that the stocks made are depleted too quickly. Difficulties have arisen and with gifts that the company promised - especially to early buyers.

"We are touched by such a reaction of consumers on the Galaxy S8 and S8 +," said Samsung Electronics America president Tim Baxter. "The market reacted to smartphones very positively, the number of pre-orders was the best in the whole history - the growth was 30% compared to the record launch of Galaxy S7".

Samsung announced the transfer of deadlines for the supply of pre-ordered Galaxy S8 (64 GB) and Galaxy S8 Plus (also 64 GB), referring to the "imbalances of stock in stores by color or model". Earlier, it was announced to postpone the deadlines for deliveries of 128-gigabyte Galaxy S8 +.

The Galaxy S8 smartphone was officially introduced at the end of last month.

This was the first update of the flagship line after the release of Galaxy Note 7, which Samsung had to withdraw due to problems with the explosion of phones. Galaxy S8 is equipped with an "unlimited" screen and voice assistant Bixby, which is currently only available for Korean and English. The phone can be unlocked not only with the fingerprint, but also with the scan of the iris.

According to Samsung, the most popular models were smartphones of colors Midnight Black and Orchid Gray.
