On the construction site in the southeast of China were found fossilized dinosaur eggs, whose age is estimated at 70 million years, according to Science Alert.

Five eggs were found in sandstone at a depth of eight meters. According to the researchers, they were there from the end of the Cretaceous period.

"We found five eggs: three were destroyed, but their shells are still visible. The other two have their own imprints on the stone.

Eggs were round, they belonged to herbivorous dinosaurs, "said researcher Qiu Licheng from the Archaeological Institute of Guangdong.

The diameter of the eggs is about 14-15 centimeters.

Earlier it was reported that scientists discovered the remains of a unique arctic dinosaur, which was called Ugrunaaluk kuukpikensis, which means "the ancient animal of the Colville River". In length this dinosaur reached about 7.5 m. In times of Ugrunaaluk kuukpikensis, the Arctic was covered with coniferous forests, and the average annual temperature was +7 degrees Celsius.
