The court of the city of Imrea in the Piedmont region for the first time in the world indicated in the verdict on the causal relationship between the excessive use of mobile phones and brain tumors.

The court considered the case of a 57-year-old man who developed a benign brain tumor as a result of a daily many hours of talking on his mobile phone. The court ruled that he was under a state pension for work in harmful conditions.

The man was in charge of one of the local companies and because of his business need for 15 years he talked on his mobile phone at least three hours a day. The plaintiff himself claims that he had no choice - "it was necessary to organize the work process and talk with colleagues all the time, at least in the car, even at home".

Pension should be paid by the Italian State Institute of Insurance against Accidents at Work, which has the right to appeal a court decision.
