As we reported yesterday, some South Korean smartphone owners Samsung Galaxy S8, who already received the device on pre-order, complain about the reddish tint of the screen.

Representatives of Samsung said that users who encounter this can quickly fix the problem by calibrating the colors in the corresponding section of the settings menu. Sources say that to remove redness in this way does not work. Various experts have already expressed an opinion that the problem may be more serious.

There is a version on which the reason is faulty chips that cause a malfunction in the GPU.

Others believe that Samsung, trying to reduce the predominance of blue in its new displays, used deep-red technology, which caused the problem.

It is also suggested that the reason for the subpixel layout in the Super AMOLED display, in which the number of blue sub-pixels is reduced. Finally, the non-standard aspect ratio of 18.5: 9 is also blamed, which supposedly can lead to unstable display structure.

After the failure of Galaxy Note7, another big problem Samsung definitely does not need. The reputation of the company may not recover. We will monitor how events unfold.
