35 thousand employees will be transferred to Fujitsu remote work

Japanese electronics manufacturer Fujitsu announced on Tuesday, February 28 on a plan to transfer to a remote mode all their permanent staff numbering 35 thousand people. On April 21, 2017 the company will resolve all permanent employees, including staff from the marketing department, system engineers and administrators to work from home or other locations. This is one of the largest in Japan's transition to the remote operation system, according to Nikkei.

It is noted that employees who choose to work remotely, to be given the necessary for this IT equipment. Previously, Fujitsu has completed testing of the remote operation of the system within which it moved 1,400. The company found that more flexible working conditions contribute to higher productivity and allow you to save a sufficient level of corporate security.

Employees who wish to go to the "udalenku" will need to obtain permission from their direct management. Thus Fujitsu does not limit the number of days that can remotely operate.

The system provides a number of advantages: saving staff time, which they previously had to spend on the road to and from work, as well as get more flexibility to balance their working and personal time, that allows you to take care of elderly family members and children, the newspaper notes. Fujitsu expects the new style of work will allow the company to attract and retain talented personnel.



Earlier, the Japanese unit of Microsoft to allow their employees to work from home up to three days a week. In May 2016 the system expanded to all 2,400 permanent employees, including the employed product development, and the number of days increased to five.

In the future, Fujitsu expects to benefit from its experience of transition to remote mode and to create on its basis of the IT system, which will be offered to the company's clients, who want to go on a similar path.
