About 6% of people on the planet live with a limited imagination, and 1% belong to those who have none at all. They cannot dream or visualize what someone or something looks like. These people are less likely to recognize a face, remember the sounds of music, or the structure of any object. This condition is called aphantasia. This term was coined almost ten years ago by British neurologist Adam Zeman. Most people who have this feature did not even suspect that it was rare or unusual, writes IflScience.
