Men are more likely than women to have mental problems because of their work, and they are less likely to seek help, say experts from the charitable organization Mind, writes BBC Ukraine.
They interviewed 15,000 workers and found that 1,763 of them had mental health problems.
A third of men linked their condition to their work. 14% said that the cause of their mental problems is not related to work.
Experts advise both men and women, and workers and managers to find a way to talk openly about their problems.
The organization Mind interviewed employees of 30 companies, including such large companies as Deloitte, HMRC, Jaguar Land Rover and PepsiCo.
Men are more likely to try to solve problems themselves. Or to overcome them with the help of such means as TV, exercise or alcohol.
Recall that according to the study, a working week lasting more than 55 hours can cause the development of atrial fibrillation, one of the most common types of heart rhythm disturbances that can lead to a stroke.
