Fans of sweet carbonated drinks run the risk of facing unwanted changes in their body. New studies show that in a month of regular use of such drinks an increase in weight gain increases.

With daily consumption of soda, metabolism changes. The body begins to receive the main energy from sugar contained in the drink, and fats coming from foods cease to be used. As a result, they are deposited in tissues, which leads to an increase in body weight.

These conclusions were drawn during the experiment in which volunteers took part. For four weeks, they regularly consumed carbonated drinks. As a result, they have changes in the work of genes responsible for the metabolism. Even people without overweight showed signs characteristic of diabetes of the second type and obesity.

Especially alarming is the fact that such changes affect not only fans of soda, but also those who regularly drink sweet fruit drinks. Dr. Gans-Peter Kubish from the University of Bangor noted that any drink with a high sugar content has a negative effect on the body, violating the natural processes of energy processing.

Many people do not notice how they get a large number of extra calories through drinks.

Unlike solid foods, liquid calories do not give a feeling of saturation, so a person continues to eat and consume even more sugar. This leads to a rapid increase in weight and increases the risk of various diseases.

Experts recommend limiting the consumption of sweet carbonated drinks, replacing them with water, unsweetened tea or natural drinks without added sugar. This approach will help to avoid metabolism problems and maintain health.
