Many adults use alcohol as a way to cope with stress, but such a habit can have serious health consequences. Studies show that a significant part of the population regularly consumes alcohol after a hard day, without realizing possible risks. Experts warn that such behavior can lead to dependence and deterioration of the physical and mental state.

According to the British Foundation Drinkaware, conducted among people aged 30 to 45 years, two -thirds of the respondents admitted that they resort to alcohol for relaxation. Every fifth man and every sixth woman drink almost daily, and a significant part of the respondents exceeds the recommended norms of alcohol consumption. Especially alarming is the fact that many people think about drinking on the way home, expecting relief from stress.

The main reasons forcing people to reach for alcohol are associated with work, financial difficulties and family problems. Alcohol can really temporarily reduce anxiety and help to be distracted, but in the long run it exacerbates the situation. The body gets used to this method of relaxation, and a dependence is gradually formed, in which, without another dose of alcohol, it becomes difficult to cope with everyday difficulties.

Experts warn that alcohol not only does not solve the problem, but also creates new. He can disturb a dream, slow down the metabolism, promote weight gain and increase the risk of serious diseases, such as cancer, liver disease and cardiovascular pathologies. The constant drinking of alcohol also negatively affects the emotional state, a deteriorating person’s ability to cope with stress without external stimulation.

Experts advise revising the approach to rest and search for relaxation methods. Instead of evening gatherings with a glass of wine or a strong drink, you can go in for sports, walks in the fresh air or find a hobby that will help to distract from everyday worries.

Active lifestyle, communication with loved ones and healthy habits can bring much more benefit than alcohol.

It is important to remember that the dependence on alcohol is formed unnoticed, and then it is very difficult to cope with it then. If stress has become a constant life partner, it is better to find alternative methods of combating it without resorting to alcohol. Health, good health and emotional stability depend on a conscious choice that everyone can make in favor of safer methods of relaxation.
