An outbreak of intestinal infection in the modular city of Lviv: 32 people fell ill

In Lviv, in a modular camp for internally displaced persons, 32 people fell ill with an intestinal infection, of which 21 were children under the age of 17.

11 people, including 9 children, were hospitalized in the regional infectious diseases clinical hospital with a preliminary diagnosis of acute intestinal infection. This was announced by the chief sanitary doctor of the Lviv region Natalia Ivanchenko-Timko.

According to her, people were hospitalized from a modular city in Lviv.

Patients were admitted with complaints of nausea, vomiting, moderate fever.

During the collection of an epidemiological anamnesis, 21 more patients with a mild course of the disease were found, among them 12 children under 17 years of age.. These patients are isolated and remain on outpatient treatment under the supervision of doctors from one of the city's polyclinics..

Currently, a complex of therapeutic, diagnostic and anti-epidemic measures is being carried out, the epidemiological investigation continues.

Earlier it was reported about the outbreak of scarlet fever in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
