Stomach Meridian E1(2) Cheng Qi.

Location: under the pupil in the middle of the lower edge of the orbit.

Topographic anatomy: orbicular muscle of the eye, infraorbital artery, infraorbital nerve.

: vertically below the pupil by 1 cun and below the point E1 (cheng qi) by 1 cm.

: in the corner of the forehead in the scalp 1.5 cm from the corner of the forehead towards the temporal cavity, or outward from the point VG24 (shen-ting) by 4.5 cun.

: superior edge of the temporalis muscle, frontal branch of the superficial temporal artery, temporal branch of the facial nerve, 1st branch of the trigeminal nerve.

E9 (ren-ying).

: at the level and outward from the upper edge of the thyroid cartilage 1.5 cun anterior to the sternocleidomastoid muscle, where the pulsation of the artery is palpated.

: place of division of the common carotid artery into internal and external, descending branch of the hypoglossal nerve, vagus nerve, cervical cutaneous nerves.

E10 (shui-tu).

: outward from the lower edge of the thyroid cartilage, at the anterior edge of the sternocleidomastoid muscle.

: common carotid artery, descending branch of the hypoglossal nerve, vagus nerve, cervical cutaneous nerves.

E11 (qi-she).

: at the upper edge of the sternal end of the clavicle, outward from the midline of the chest by 1.5 cun.

: between sternal and clavicular heads of sternocleidomastoid muscle, common carotid artery, vagus nerve, cervical cutaneous nerves.

E12 (Que-Pen).

: in the center of the supraclavicular fossa, outward from the midline of the chest by 4 cun.

: upper edge of the clavicle and posterior edge of the sternocleidomastoid muscle, transverse artery of the scapula, supraclavicular nerve, subclavian artery (in depth).

E13 (qi-hu).

: under the clavicle, on the nipple line, 4 cun away from the middle line of the chest.

: the place of convergence of the clavicle and the 1st rib, there are pectoralis major muscle, superior intercostal artery, anterior thoracic, subclavian and supraclavicular nerves.

E14 (ku-fan).

: in the first intercostal space, vertically below the point E13 (qi-hu) along the nipple line.

E20 (cheng man).

: below E19 (bu-zhong) by 1 cun, above the navel by 5 cun, outward from the midline by 2 cun.

: same as point E19 (bu-zhong).

E21 (liang-men).

: above the navel by 4 cun and outward from the midline by 2 cun, vertically below the point E19 (bu-zhong) by 2 cun.

: rectus sheath, superficial superior epigastric artery, intercostal nerves.

E22 (guan-men).

: above the level of the umbilicus by 3 cun and outward from the midline by 2 cun.

: sheath of the anterior leaflet of the rectus abdominis muscle (subcutaneously), superficial superior epigastric artery, intercostal nerve.

E23 (tai).

: 2 cun above the umbilicus and 2 cun outside the midline.

: rectus abdominis, superficial superior epigastric artery, intercostal nerve.

E24 (hua-rou-men).

: 1 cun above the navel and 2 cun outside the midline.

: rectus abdominis, superficial superior epigastric artery, intercostal nerve.

E25 (tian-shu).

: at the level of the navel and outward from the navel by 2 cun.

: sheath of the anterior leaflet of the rectus abdominis muscle (superficial), superficial inferior epigastric artery and intercostal nerve.

E26 (Way-Ling).

: 1 cun below the navel and 2 cun outside the midline.

: at the upper edge of the pubic bone, outward from the midline of the abdomen by 2 cun.

E31 (bi-guan).

: in the middle of the inguinal fold.

E32 (fu-tu).

E33 (yin-shi).

E34 (liang-qiu).

: 2 cun above the upper edge of the patella, where a small indentation is palpable.

: anterior and outward of the femur, between the rectus femoris and vastus lateralis; are the descending branch of the lateral artery surrounding the femur, the muscular and anterior cutaneous branches of the femoral nerve.

E35 (du-bi).

: on the anterolateral surface of the lower leg at the lower edge of the patella, above the lateral condyle of the tibia, where the depression is palpated.

: outward from the patellar ligament, arterial network of the knee joint, anterior cutaneous branch of the femoral nerve, articular branches of the tibial and common peroneal nerves.

E36 (zu-san-li).

: 3 cun below the superior border of the lateral condyle of the tibia, at the anterior border of the tibialis muscle.

: superior part of the tibia, below the articular surface of the head of the fibula, between the anterior margin of the tibialis muscle and the extensor digitorum longus muscle; anterior tibial artery, deep peroneal nerve, anterior cutaneous branch of the femoral nerve, external peroneal cutaneous nerve.

E37 (shang-ju-xu).

: vertically below point E36 (zu-san-li) by 3 cun.

: between tibia and fibula anterior to tibialis muscle, anterior tibial artery, deep peroneal nerve, lateral cutaneous nerve of calf.

E38 (tiao-kou).

: below the upper edge of the lateral condyle of the tibia by 8 cun, vertically below E37 (shang ju xu) by 2 cun.

: between the tibia and fibula among the muscles of the long extensor of the fingers and the anterior tibial muscle, the anterior tibial artery, deep peroneal nerve, external cutaneous nerve of the calf.

E39 (xia-ju-xu).

E41 (jie-si).

: on the dorsum of the foot, 1.5 cun behind the point E42 (chung-yang), where the depression is palpated, in line with the second finger.

: between the tendons of the muscles of the extensor of the fingers and the long extensor of the first toe, at the site of attachment of the cruciate ligament; branches of the anterior tibial artery, superficial peroneal nerve.

E42 (chung-yang).

: on the most elevated part of the rear of the foot, where the pulsation of the artery is palpated, 5 cun above the interdigital space.

: between the joint II and III of the sphenoid and II and III metatarsal bones, at the medial edge of the tendon of the muscle, the long extensor of the fingers; dorsal artery of the foot, superficial peroneal nerve, medial cutaneous nerve of the foot.

E43 (xian-gu).

: in the interosseous space between the II and III metatarsal bones, posterior to the metatarsophalangeal joint.

: between the tendons of the extensor muscles of the II and III fingers;

dorsal artery of the foot, medial nerve of the foot.

E 44 (nei-ting).

: anterior to II and III metatarsophalangeal joints.

: outward from the tendon of the muscle short extensor of the finger; dorsal artery of fingers, dorsal nerve of fingers.

E45 (li-dui).

: 0.3 cm from the outer edge of the nail root of the second toe.

: dorsal artery of the fingers, dorsal nerve of the fingers.
