Scientific discovery reveals the secret to a successful training program

You get the feeling that your workouts leave you tired without real improvement? A study of cyclists by scientists from the University of Stirling has revealed the secret of successful training. This discovery will allow all of us to become more athletic.

Scientists studied 12 cyclists for 29 weeks to determine optimal training intensity.

Two groups of six cyclists each took the course with a different distribution of training intensity.. The first worked at 80% high intensity and 20 percent low, and the second 55% low and 45% moderate..

After four weeks of rest, the groups switched places, and it turned out that the first group increased their performance twice as much as the second group..

Dr. Galloway added: " Recreational athletes often spend a lot of time doing moderate exercise, which in our study did not produce great results."
