“The government has taken all measures to provide the Ministry of Health of Ukraine with funds for the purchase of vaccines and by the end of 2021 to vaccinate 70% of the adult population, which is determined from the total population of 41.7 million people according to the State Statistics Committee as of January 1, 2020.. That is, it is planned to cover 4.2 million adults with vaccinations, - says the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.. “To do this, it is necessary to ensure the receipt of almost 48 million doses of vaccines, taking into account the 8 million doses that should be received free of charge under the COVAX mechanism”.
The Ministry of Finance adds that “the Ministry of Health is facing a rather serious challenge: to ensure the timely purchase and supply of the appropriate amount of vaccines to Ukraine and properly organize vaccination to achieve the declared indicators. After all, this is almost 6 million vaccinations every month from May to the end of 2021 (on average, more than 250 thousand. vaccinations per day) and coverage with two doses of vaccinations by the end of the year 70% of the adult population "
