In hospitals of the Kharkiv region, 1639 patients with COVID-19 are currently inpatient treatment. This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Taras Pastukh during a briefing on January 12.

“Now in the region, 4776 beds have been allocated to provide assistance to patients with covid infection, of which 1639 are currently involved in providing medical care to patients,” said Taras Pastukh.

- Kharkiv region is one of two in Ukraine, which 100% provided each bed with oxygen supply "

Medical facilities involved in treating COVID-19 patients are prepared for a possible increase in the number of patients due to the holidays, the official said..

“As of today, the occupancy of beds allocated for providing care to patients with covid is 34%, - said Taras Pastukh. - We have not yet started admission to the veterans' hospital, railway hospitals are not working at full capacity. We have a certain reserve "

He also said: if the number of patients increases 2-3 times, then additional medical facilities for patients with COVID-19 will be attracted in the Kharkiv region.
