Analysts of the Center for Health Economics of the Kiev School of Economics note that it is impossible to quickly carry out a mass vaccination against coronavirus.
The CSE calculated that even under ideal conditions, when all 6,580 family medicine outpatient clinics in Ukraine, which have contracts with the National Health Service, will vaccinate a constant flow of patients every day for 8 hours a day without breaks and weekends, this will last 6 months. And even this number (36% of the population) does not guarantee the establishment of herd immunity.
In the real world, providing such efficiency is almost impossible, experts say.. And to deploy additional vaccination sites to increase capacity, additional medical personnel are needed.
