The most harmless domestic habit can turn out to be a powerful signal of an approaching mental disorder. Sometimes mental disorders are disguised as ordinary everyday habits, which a person does not even pay attention to.. As a result, for years he has not been aware of his problem, thereby exacerbating his condition. It’s time to check for disturbing symptoms in your behavior..

Total cleanliness. A constant desire to clean and put everything in place is not always a sign of accuracy and perfectionism.. If you cannot spend a day without washing, throwing, washing or rearranging something - this may indicate an approaching obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). In short, this is a repetition of the same actions to get rid of anxiety and obsessive thoughts. In the initial stages, of course, a person can still control himself. But then everything gets out of control and the patient is not able to stop and endlessly performs the same actions in a circle.

Daily rituals Of course, here we are not talking about normal human habits, like, say, brushing your teeth in the morning or doing exercises. However, if you cannot leave the house so that you don’t check the tap three times and pull the doorknob five times, then it’s worth considering. If only after performing these rituals you calm down, perhaps OCD is closer to you than you thought.

Self-test. Perhaps everyone knows the feeling when you know for sure that you pulled the iron out of the socket, but you still want to go check - is it. If this happens from time to time, then do not worry. This may be due, for example, to fatigue and a decrease in concentration.. But if this is repeated day after day - this is an alarming symptom.. And maybe you should consult a specialist.

Saving money Not to be confused with collecting. It’s about the meaningless accumulation of things that you definitely will never need. If it’s hard to part, even with broken and useless little things that have been gathering dust on the top shelf of the pantry for years, then this can soon turn into a real mania. A person begins to take all kinds of nonsense into the house, including collecting things in a landfill.

Lack of shame When a person does not want to use basic hygiene products, but can afford it financially, this may indicate such a mental disorder as “senile squalor syndrome”. This is what the disease is called by specialists.

Man does not realize what a feeling of shame. He may stop using a toothbrush and even toilet paper.. For him, this behavior is becoming the norm..

If at least one of these habits, or even several, is about you, you should not immediately diagnose yourself. Many factors influence our behavior.. It is best to consult a specialist. After all, prevention is always the right decision. Be attentive to yourself and do not be nervous over trifles.
