Scientists from the University of Eastern Finland have found that eating a few eggs a week helps reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, writes Mignews.
The study involved 2,230 men, aged between 42 and 60 years. During the test, specialists observed for twenty years. After examining the medical data for the observation period, the researchers concluded that men who consumed four eggs a week had a 37% lower risk of developing diabetes than those who ate 1 to 2 eggs. This is due to the fact that eggs improve the balance of glucose in the body.
Experts stressed that the use of four eggs a week reduces the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The use of more of this product did not lead to better results.
