Nutritionists told how to lose weight properly

The so-called "day of disobedience" while dieting, when you can eat any prohibited foods, helps to lose weight effectively, scientists from the University of Tilburg in the Netherlands.

Experts believe that people who act in this way are easier to resist the temptation of the remainder of the time. Moreover, self-control in such people becomes much stronger, and a day of indulgence allows you to make the diet more pleasant.

During the study, scientists examined the weight, mood and strength of the will of 36 men and women who sat on a diet for two weeks.

One group followed a strict diet, consuming 1,500 calories each day, while another group consumed 1,300 calories a day, but on weekends could afford to eat any foods for 2,700 calories. The obtained data showed that the self-control of people from the second group was much stronger. These people also felt much happier and were more motivated to lose weight. In addition, the participants in the second group lost the same number of kilograms as the subjects who did not allow any indulgences in the diet.
