In 2016, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) purchased vaccines available on the international market and fulfilled the terms of the agreement from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

Now Ukraine is fully provided with vaccines needed for vaccinations in accordance with the Calendar of preventive vaccinations. All vaccines have a re-qualification of the World Health Organization - this means that the quality of vaccines is confirmed at the international level.

The Ministry of Health introduced a new methodology for calculating the need for vaccines for a three-year period at the national level. The methodology was developed jointly with the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). The three-year planning of the immunization program was introduced for the first time in history by the current Government and will help to avoid a national vaccine deficit.
