Ukraine has banned the sale, storage and use of the drug Pentaxim, a vaccine for the prevention of diphtheria and tetanus, pertussis and poliomyelitis due to violations of legal requirements.

This is reported by the State Service of Ukraine for Medicines and Drug Control.

"To prohibit the sale, storage and use of the drug Pentaxim, a vaccine for the prevention of diphtheria and tetanus, pertussis and poliomyelitis 0.5 ml, of various series, of French origin, due to violation of the requirements of Ukrainian legislation," the document says..

All pharmacies must destroy this drug or return it to the manufacturer.
