Some people lose weight on low-carb diets.

They exclude from their diet flour products, potatoes and the like.

Staff at the Harvard School of Public Health conducted studies to test the impact of such measures on a person.

They studied medical data for 25 years about 15.5 thousand people aged 45-64 years. During this period, 6283 patients died.

It turned out that in the daily diet should contain at least 50% of carbohydrates. Otherwise, their food by 20% is more at risk of provoking an early death.

It is equally dangerous to fill your food with more than 70% of carbohydrates.

Doctors are advised to select a diet that will allow you to maintain the optimal balance of essential nutrients.

They also do not recommend replacing carbohydrates with meat and cheeses. But the abuse of vegetables, nuts, beans and lentils is a much less dangerous.

According to scientists, with a balanced diet, the average person should live up to 83 years. In the case of regular excess of carbohydrate norms - a year less.

But the life expectancy of fans of a low-carb diet was 79 years.
