Specialists Melbourne Royal University of Technology said that the drivers are liable to sleep because of low-frequency vibration of the machine.

This is reported by the Science Daily.

For their study, Australian scientists selected 15 volunteers.

During the tests, specialists monitored the rhythm of the heart of drivers who moved on the simulator of the car's cabin, imitating a monotonous movement along a two-lane route.

As a result, it turned out that volunteers exposed to low-frequency vibrations (4-7 hertz) after 15 minutes were yawning, after 30 the degree of drowsiness in the subjects increased even more, and in an hour people simply plunged into sleep.

At the same time, as the researchers noted, the vibrations at other frequencies, on the contrary, made the drivers more cheerful.
