For some reason, buying a bra and finding out your size is one of the most difficult processes. Rael Cohen, creative director of the Underwear brand ThirdLove, will put all the points above and tell everything you need to know about this eternal problem.

First of all: how do you know if your bra is right?.

"The bra tries to talk to you - that's how I think about it," Cohen says.. "At the end of the day, pay special attention before you take off your bra with relief (which, as a rule, women do) - what bothers you? Do you feel a squeezing in the back? Does it bring discomfort? Do you feel like they pierce the bones of the bust? Where are the "bones" stronger: in the middle or at the sides? Breastelka slides off the shoulder all day? You know that you are uncomfortable, but sometimes we are so busy and do not take the time to find out why. ".

A quick trick to find out what exactly is wrong with my bra.

Cohen suggests doing what she calls a "T-shirt test". "Put on a tight-fitting white jersey, and if you can see the bra very clearly, whether it's a bulge or a stretched skin, or the bra sits unevenly - you're wearing the wrong size".

What is a really suitable bra?.

Basically, the underwear shop consultant measures the chest and bust area with a measuring tape. This tells her about your group and cup size. But that's not all.

"She has to do more than just measure you. She also needs to look at the shape of the body, the shape of the chest and how far apart your breasts are, pay attention to the brand that you are currently wearing, and the size that you think is your ".

Find your breast shape There are 7 different forms of breast.

Is it really important, what is your breast shape?.

"People are always focused on the size of a bra - a group and a cup - and this is important," says Cohen. "But the type of breast and the style of the bra are also incredibly important. For example, if you have an "east-west" shape or widely spaced, with sufficient space between the breasts, it is very difficult to wear a full cup around your chest ". Cohen notes that women with these forms should find a bra with a shorter bone, which ends under the breast, rather than surrounds it.

Let's go back to the dimensions. Trying on 75B, you understand that the band gum is great for you. And you go for 70B?.

Wrong. There is a concept called "sister size", which no one understands. But give an example, using 75B as an example: 75B is the same as 70C, only 70C has a shorter bra band. If you're going to increase the size of the cup, 80A is also a cup of B - just this bra has a longer rubber band.

What if your straps are constantly sliding down?.

"One of the reasons may be that you have narrow or sloping shoulders," says Cohen.

"If that's the case, we'll recommend a plunge bra (plunge means a cutout, so you can distinguish such sconces simply by deep V-neck. The design is made to raise and pull the chest) or racerback bra (straps converge on the back in a Y or X shape). You can also try to adjust the straps and make sure that it helps ".

According to Cohen, many women buy bras on the Internet and never adjust the straps to their own sizes. This also leads to a constant slippage.

"In your box, most likely, about 20 bras, including those that you bought 10 years ago. You do not need that much. I recommend two to three bras T-shirt bra (model of the classical form) neutral color, close to your tone of a skin. These are workhorses, you will wear them every day. Then I recommend taking a black or colored bra for a change. Next, a beige and black strapless bra, and a pretty lounge bra / bralette (without "pits") for comfort. As a result, only seven bras.

Do you wear the same bra every day?.

Please do not do this! According to Cohen, the elastic part stretches when you wear it, and it takes 24 to 48 hours to get back to its original form. If you wear the same bra every day, after a few months, it turns into a shapeless or clumsy. And this you just do not want.

10. How often should I wash my bra?.

It depends on how often you wear it. If you wear it several times a week, you definitely need to wash once a week.

If you wear not so often, you can have more time between laundering. Cohen also says that the number of times, depends on how much you sweat, what is different for everyone.

eleven. They say that bras need to be washed by hand. Is it really necessary?.

Technically, yes, but almost no one does it. It is best to put them in a special laundry bag. Thus, the "bones" will remain in shape and will not get tangled in other clothes.
