A comprehensive study, during which 100 thousand people were analyzed, allowed scientists to determine which foods most effectively help to strengthen the lungs and improve their performance, VladTaim reported. In the list of the most useful food for lungs, experts included cottage cheese, chicken eggs, seafood, walnuts, parsley and almonds.

"These foods are especially rich in vitamins and antioxidants that help the body to balance the harmful and dangerous substances and cells that fight harmful substances.

Adding these products to the daily diet can be a reliable prevention of lung problems, "the scientists say.

Before that, American scientists representing the Johns Hopkins University carried out an experiment in which smokers had to eat three apples and two tomatoes. It turned out that this method is an excellent way to slow down the destructive processes in the most important organ of respiration in those who smoke cigarettes, and also to strengthen the lungs for those who are not a smoker.
