What not to do if you wear contact lenses

It's a shame to admit, but from time to time many of us are lazy (or simply do not have time) to drop into the pharmacy for a liquid for lenses, and it, as luck would have it, always ends at the most inopportune moment. And in this case every second decides that you can easily replace it with water.

In no case! Even in emergency situations, when there seems to be no other way out, try to find an alternative option. The thing is that the tap water contains a microbe called Acanthamoeba keratitis, which can cause a huge number of problems with the eyes - from banal redness to vision loss. So either go for one-day lenses, or still try to buy liquid in advance: in the end, what can be more important than health?.

Before removing or putting on lenses, it is important not just to wash your hands, but also carefully dry them: this way you minimize the risk of bacteria penetration. And yes, the container also needs to be washed after each use.

And, of course, change every three months.

Do not leave the lens on overnight. So you limit the access of oxygen, and so the next morning you wake up with dry eyes (which in fact is the lesser of evils in this case). But if the evening turned out to be too stormy and you just did not have time to remove the lenses, remove them at the first opportunity, and the next couple of hours you go in usual glasses to let your eyes "breathe".
