Representatives of University College London have developed a new device that 50% more accurately measures blood pressure.

The authors of the project believe that the existing methods of measuring blood pressure have already become obsolete, since many of them produce inaccurate data.

Thus, it makes sense to switch to the use of individual portable devices that a person could carry with him all the time.

According to scientists, one-fifth of UK adults have high blood pressure just because traditional measurement methods provide inaccurate data.

The device offered by the researchers can be purchased for a price that is in the range of 500 to 1000 pounds sterling. It is capable of constantly being with a person and doing measurements every 20-30 minutes.
