A group of scientists from the Swedish University of Lund found a new way to fight breast cancer of the last stage, which is virtually incurable.
Malignant tumor cancer of the mammary glands until recently was almost untreatable. Of all the patients with this form of cancer, most do not recover and subsequently die. The major part of this tumor consists of the degenerated cells of connective tissue that promote its further development and resistance against hormone therapy.
Scientists after a long study have created a drug that can block the signal path between malignant tumor cells and connective tissues, thereby restoring its sensitivity to treatment.
It should be noted that experts are confident in the effectiveness of the new drug and hope to use it to cure many cancer patients. This drug was tested for cancer and showed a positive result. The tumor began to give in to treatment and disappear.
