Following the results of an experimental study by scientists at the National Institutes of Health, periodic starvation and light exercises improve health, reduce the risk of developing diabetes, and significantly improve the condition of the human body.

In the course of the experiment, the specialists distributed laboratory mice in 4 groups.

Animals from the first group had continuous access to the stern, the second - ran every day for 45 minutes, but ate when they wanted.

The third group of mice was fasting every other day, and the fourth group was starving, but it was physically active.

Analysis of the results of long-term follow-up showed that the combination of physical activity and periodic fasting is more effective in maintaining the tone and development of endurance.

In addition, scientists believe that these findings are applicable to people who can not only improve their general condition of the body, but also to protect themselves from heavy old age.
