Microbes-diagnosticians, a head transplant and even an early victory over AIDS!.

Medicine is not just going by leaps and bounds, it literally flies! While society is keenly watching the launch of a car into space, scientists are closely selected to address such problems as a head transplant and complete cure for HIV. On other achievements of medicine read on.

Microbes-diagnosticians.

In our body, two kilograms of microbes of different kinds. And they do not just exist, but also interact in every way with our body. Moreover, the changes in the bacteria themselves can predict the possible problems in the human body! Scientists continue to create new drugs on the basis of bacteria and their products, and soon special diagnostic microbes are going to be released that will help to identify diseases in the early stages.

The system of training doctors has long and very much become obsolete, and information becomes more and more. Last year, several American companies cooperated and proposed a new method of studying anatomy and physiology that would make the classes much more interesting. So, down with the usual dismemberment of corpses, we are already living in a new era!.

Slowly but surely scientists are being selected to the cherished dream of eradicating AIDS. Now, HIV-positive people can already live peacefully and even have completely healthy children - with constant antiretroviral therapy, of course. In 2017, researchers from the University of Temple could still completely eliminate the virus of immunodeficiency from the body of the mouse. All thanks to molecular therapy, the effectiveness of which was about 95%.

Leukemia and lymphoma can soon be completely defeated! Thanks to the achievements of genetic engineering, special T-cells were created that can not only find cancer cells, but also successfully destroy them. The results are very encouraging - in almost 90% of cases patients went into remission.

"Liquid" biopsy.

Biopsy is the excision of living cells or tissues for a study that shows the presence of cancer. Roughly speaking, a person should cut a piece of the organ to find out if there is a metastasis in it. However, now this method can be forgotten - scientists have learned to determine the presence of cancer cells through blood analysis. Actually, the point is that in the blood of a patient with oncology there are remnants of "tumor" DNA (cDNA), which now are able to isolate. Tests of the new method are still underway, but the results are quite impressive. We hope that such a technology will soon be introduced everywhere.

Ultrasonography of Alzheimer's.

New promising method for fighting Alzheimer's disease - ultrasound therapy. In 2017, it was clinically tested, which was a direct continuation of studies in 2015. Then Australian scientists picked up ultrasonic waves of a certain frequency, which positively affected 75% of laboratory mice. In addition, it has been proven that the sound that destroys amyloid plaques does not harm other tissues.

Artificial blood.

The thing most in need of any hospital is blood. British scientists were able to synthesize blood from stem cells and last year conducted a clinical trial. 20 volunteers, who were injected with synthetic blood, felt quite normal. And, what pleases most, even after a certain time they did not find any deviations.

Head transplantation.

The pink dream of any self-respecting physician is a full-fledged transplant of not only organs but also limbs. In 2017, the Italian surgeon Sergio Canavero with the help of his Chinese colleagues was able to successfully transplant the head of one corpse to another, while using a special substance that successfully connected fragments of the spinal cord.

Scientists cautiously predict the subsequent successful transplantation of the head of a living person.

Dissolving stents.

A stent is a metal tube that is inserted into a vessel to prevent its narrowing. But the problem is that such a thing remains forever in the body and can subsequently cause various problems. In the US, developed a special bioabsorbent stent from the degradable polymer. Two years after installation, it gradually dissolves and disappears.
