The colonial plants got their name because of the obvious similarity with such an architectural element as the column. If viewed from the outside, it may seem that the columnar or stamping cultures have only the trunk and no branches. In fact, the branches of these trees and shrubs are, only very small. Flowers on such bushes also appear on small, short branches, which creates the impression of a "blossoming trunk".

Colon-shaped can be fruit (pears, apples) plants or extremely flowering. A striking example - the stamping roses, an unusual kind of which can become the pride of any garden or plot around the house. Acquisition of seedlings of colonial roses is sought for two reasons: for arranging a hedge or for decorating parade areas, walking paths, entrances to homes or cottages. You can do it in the store "Agro-Market", in which, in addition to the roses, there are saplings of more than two dozen species of these flowering plants.

History of species, characteristics The first time a plant of the column type is mentioned in the 64th year of the last century. It was a Canadian apple tree on which a local farmer discovered an unusual shoot without branches. Further, the plant was brought to Europe, where its selective improvement continued.

Stamp roses belong to a variety of bush. These are powerful, beautiful plants, the height of which can vary from 1 to 2.5 meters. Colon-shaped, they are due to a special grafting technique, which is carried out along the entire length of the trunk in staggered order. In this case, roses can be planted in different varieties and colors, respectively. These are real trees, charming and elegant, capable of giving a stylish and chic to any garden or park area.

Advantages of the species:.

• simple care, unpretentiousness;.

• excellent decorative qualities;.

• less susceptibility to disease.

Such roses look great singly and in groups. And the variant height allows creating very unusual design compositions.

Peculiarities of growing Roses of this type should be planted at a distance of 100 centimeters from each other.

The pits are excavated up to 60 cm in length, where the support is pinned down, which should be lower than the crown of the rose bush. After landing, the trunk is tied to the support bar in the middle and bottom. To the crown does not dry up, and the bush has taken root, it is necessary to apply moss or cotton wool soaked in water to the kidneys. For normal growth and development, the type of soil does not matter much, even a poor earth. If correctly and timely to make a pruning, the bush rose will grow into a large, beautiful tree.
